Artist Statement
 God's masterful creation astounds and inspires me. Therefore, I am given fully in love and admiration to His gift of art. I’m compelled to glorify the mystery and the majesty of the nature of God and of creation's beauty. Can I humbly conceptualize in 2 dimensions the exciting magnificence of the first glimpse of life breaking forth after months of grey winter rain and snow or the warmth of the sun on mountains clothed in colorful autumn? Is it possible to capture on canvas or paper the mischievous twinkle in the eyes of a child? Can I do justice to the complexities of nature with pattern, color and texture? Whether I am indulging in the joyous color explosion of my nature abstracts or tenderly rendering a precious moment of time in the classical style of the masters, I accept the challenge to capture the joy and magic of the creative images my mind longs to express. May you be inspired to create as well.

Artist Biography
 Anna Lancaster is a native of New Jersey. Her dad, Alex Cammarata, started her training as soon as she was old enough to hold a pencil. She often remarks, "I always believed art was God's special gift to me. It was his way of showing me that He loved me and that I was born for a purpose." She took that gift to Kean College of New Jersey in 1970. In 1981, she started her career as a self-taught watercolor artist. A year later, she became a staff artist and graphic illustrator for "The Star Gazette" in Hackettstown, New Jersey. She then spent the next 10 years as a staff and free-lance graphic artist/illustrator for several different advertising agencies.
When her husband's career brought their family to Oregon in 1991, Anna decided to re-examine what she wanted to accomplish with the artistic talent she had been graciously provided. She desired to produce two-dimensional works of heirloom quality that would out-last garish fads yet speak of timely trends and patterns.
 Anna has pursued the personal study of fine art for over 30 years. She has learned new methods of expressing creative beauty in pattern, color and texture, expanding the traditional theories, concepts and applications in her classical training. She is always careful to research her methods of painting to be sure that her work is well crafted and able to stand the test of time in design, beauty and sound, stable creative processes. Her goal is to produce artwork that can be appreciated for years to come. Mrs. Lancaster established her company, Abiding Art, in 2003 fulfilling her life long ambition of selling her quality fine art professionally.
