Art Courageous Student Club / TuHS
Join an art club for teens. Anna Lancaster, a Tualatin resident and professional classical artist, and Maeghan Hebert, a Dundee resident and arts and crafts enthusiast, will instruct club members in diverse aspects of representational painting and drawing. Instruction emphasizes but is not limited to realism. Club members will work on independent projects of their particular interests. Creative projects will be limited to wholesome subject matter.
Art Courageous provides an excellent opportunity for High School students to learn portraiture, landscape, still life and cartoon caricature from a working, professional artist. Try different drawing techniques in color and graphite pencils, rapidograph ink, markers, ink wash, charcoal and pastels. Experiment with painting methods of oil, acrylic and watercolor. Share, demonstrate and teach your own artistic talent to a fellow student. Receive and give encouraging critique of existing or new projects. Be empowered to use your art to positvely impact your world.
Mrs. Lancaster can provide some art supplies. Members are encouraged to bring their own art supplies if they have them and to invest in their own personal supplies as they identify their creative niche.
Art Courageous meets every Monday from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at Tualatin High School, 22399 SW Boones Ferry Road, Tualatin, OR 97062, in the Senior Hall of the High School Commons. Use the center school entrance at the North Parking Lot.
